A statistician is required to join the Centre for Rural Health (CRH) in Inverness. This is an exciting opportunity to assist in delivering the Centre's research programme, both by participating as statistician to a range of projects and by developing your own programme of research. You should have a track record of publication in peer reviewed and other professional journals.
You will be required to liaise with a broad spectrum of NHS health care staff working in primary and secondary care.
You should have a PhD or MSc plus post-qualification experience that demonstrates the relevant and appropriate skills and capabilities to operate at this level. You should have high quality research experience in a health-related area; and the ability to manage complex projects.
You will be encouraged to develop your own research interests, acting as principal investigator on projects that are relevant to the main research themes of the Centre, i.e.: Health of Rural People; Access and Delivery of Services; and Technology and Rural Health.
This post will be offered for a period of 3 years.
