Children in Care Proceedings - Follow-up Study
We are looking for an experienced statistician to help in the
analysis of the above study. It is investigating the factors that
affect the wellbeing of children who were the subject of a care
order. Much of the analysis has already been done, funded by a
Nuffield Foundation grant, but the funding has now ended and we need
a statistician to help us complete the analysis.
The study involves subjects who were maltreated as children, to see
how their current wellbeing relates to their early experiences. We
have data from five time periods, from the child's early experiences
up to the time of the research interview. We have used multiple
regression to develop a series of models, identifying independent
variables in each period that are most predictive of the outcome.
However these models are incomplete, and in addition they need to be
combined across periods, to build a parsimonious model reflecting the
whole time course. Professor Tim Cole and Dr Huiqi Pan have acted as
advisors to the analysis so far, and will continue to be available
for consultation.
Remuneration to be negotiated. Please contact Ms Viv Prior
<[log in to unmask]> or phone 020 7905 2166 for details.
