You should have a proven record of high quality research and publications or
clear potential to produce high quality publications. You should also be an
excellent teacher as part of your duties will be to teach both undergraduate
courses and postgraduate courses in statistics.
Research interests in the Department are diverse. Areas of particular strength
include statistical modelling for social sciences; time series analysis; financial
and insurance stochastics; and algebraic statistics.
Preference will be given to a candidate with a strong research interest in
statistical methodology related to social sciences.
