medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Apparently the reconstruction works in the Vatican Library are on
track for a 2010 re-opening. Most of the improvements are behind the
scenes, but the library will regain the use of the splendid Sistine
Hall, which had been given over in recent years to museum exhibits.
An interview with Cardinal Farina (in L'Osservatore Romano, Italian
ed., 15/8/2008) gives a potted history of the library and some news
