In Dorset, we do have issues with Facebook, and other sites, but this has
been identified as being more to do with our software not supporting the
changes they are making to their websites. However, this is the view of
out IT specialist. (Websense is our filtering system)

"I don't know of any issues with facebook, bebo etc running through
Websense, I haven't received any reports of templates or style sheets not
displayed. I suspect that this is a fault with the filtering product in
question, or they have been given false information.
Of course there are other issues with social networking sites, with many
believing that these types of sites should be filtered for some or all
groups of users...."

Social networking sites
Recently, we started having problems on our public PCs with FaceBook,
MySpace and Google Images amongst others. We have been told that because
these sites use a ?style sheet? that is hosted on changing URLs, our
filtering service cannot keep up with the changes and so they either
display as text only or page not found, and consequently are unusable. Is
anyone else having the same trouble, or does anyone have a solution?
Thank you.
