Hi Katrina
Queen was fine as she glided by!
I don't know about SILLR/CONARLS as we are not members. I think that any
increase is across the board for them. However for any other requests, it's
really up to the individual libraries. We always find it simpler just to
follow BL's line, although that could change if they revise their own
procedures.
Weather lousy here. I'm on leave for a couple of weeks from 11th Aug to fit
in my Festival Chorus rehearsals which are increasingly been scheduled for
mid- to late-afternoon during the Festival. It's only a 10 minute walk from
here (far quicker than coming in from home) but I don't like repeatedly
having to leave early especially when other people in the team are already
on holiday.
Hope things are going ok at your end - building site here and pretty
depressing
Bye for now
Marjory

Hi Marjory
How was the Queen?
I am sorry I missed you at the end of the conference but I hope you had a
great day.
I am just e-mailing to find out if you have heard if SILLR/CONARLS members
are increasing their prices?
I am just back and can see no mention of an increase of these costs.
Do they agree across the board to increase prices or is it on an individual
library basis?
Sorry to ask but never been involved in the pricing for SILLR/CONARLS
Hope you have a great weekend (weather permitting).
many thanks
Katrina

Dear colleagues
In line with BL's recent announcement to raise its charges,
Edinburgh
University intends to follow suit.
As from 1st August therefore our charges will be as follows:
Electronic copy: £4.95 + VAT
Paper copy: £5.95 + VAT
Loan: £9.00
I am sorry that this increase has been necessary, but our overheads
are now
such that we are unable to continue at our current level.
We look forward to hearing from you
Best wishes
