Dear all,
I am looking to establish sector wide practice in regard of Placement Learning
and what HEIs do when such learning does not go to plan. Once I've gathered
the results, I'll share them with respondents in an anonymised manner.
Three main issues:
1. In the event that you have to exclude a student from their placement for
non-academic (maybe fitness for practice/placement) reasons, what
contingency plan do you resort to, i.e. allow the student to continue on a 3-
year version of the programme if the placement, in effect, turns the same
programme into a 4-year version.
2. If the placement is worth 20 credits, would you attempt to find the student
another placement should they fail the initial placement for non-academic
fitness for practice/placement reasons?
3. What is your warning system regarding student conduct?
With thanks,
Stuart.
