It would seem that the Reagan years (81-89) constituted the heart of the
initial cycle of modern horror films. The cycle began just before Reagan
but continued throughout, as suggested by the following films that came
out in those years:
Halloween, numbers 2 -8
nightmare on elm street, 1-4
friday the 13th, 2-7
hellraiser, 1-2
Henry: portrait of a serial killer (if this is horror)
