ARTHRITIS RESEARCH CAMPAIGN
NATIONAL PRIMARY CARE CENTRE
RESEARCH ASSISTANT: SYSTEMATIC REVIEWER (Two year Fixed-Term)
Starting Salary: Grade 6a £25,888
We need a highly motivated Research Assistant to join a successful
team of researchers in the Arthritis Research Campaign National
Primary Care Centre at Keele University. The project is jointly funded
by the NIHR and arc. You will link with a series of Clinical Study
Groups organised by arc to conduct scoping reviews of current research
undertaken on pain, arthritis and other rheumatological conditions.
Linking to the Centre’s NIHR-funded programme of work, you will
undertake systematic reviews of the best available evidence evaluating
the delivery of primary care for osteoarthritis and spinal pain. The
project will also include a review of the outcome measures used to
assess people with these conditions. As well as a series of reports to
the arc, you will contribute to writing up systematic and narrative
literature reviews for publication in peer-reviewed journals and
presenting the findings at conferences. You will have a degree in a
relevant subject, with knowledge and experience in literature
searching and critical appraisal.
