Dear Mr. Johnson,
Thank your for your e-mail. I am very much interested in the subject and for
the shared funding and collaboration on this research.
I have completed my PhD in architecture with a thesis on place based design
approach at Istanbul Technical University in 2001. I have been teaching design
studios since 1996 based on this knowledge and developing experimental studies
on place to apply into the studio teaching. I have thought four design studios
at Texas A&M University in 2004-2005 with this experimental studies. I have a
paper publication on one of this studios in the proceedings of Design 2006
International Conference. I will be presenting my recent studies on the
subject
in an upcoming international conference (IAPS 2008) this summer in Rome. There
are two up-coming courses I will be offering starting by this Fall at Istanbul
Technical University. The graduate course title is "Place Theory and Design",
and the undergraduate course title is " Experimental Studies on Place and
Design".
Would you please send the attached form (because there is no attachment
to your
current message)?
I would be happy to have more information regarding the research and for
possible collaboration.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
Senem Deviren
