medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Greetings learned ones!
I´m trying to confirm an impression, and would appreciate input from the various specialist on this list.
The impression is that 'Abraham' as a religious (or given) name is not particularly common in the Latin church
(much more so in the east, including Egypt and the early hermits.) I´m specifically interested in the 11th-12th centuries.
Are there any eminent ecclesiastics (or others) named Abraham at this time?
Thanks in advance,
Meg
