Thanks for the confirmation - it seems such and obvious feature I
thought I must have been missing something.
To try and avoid tripping myself up later (especially as my SP
configuration is nowhere near my application configuration) I've added:
RequestHeader add Shib-Service-Provider
"https://www.netskills.ac.uk/federation/entity/metadata"
to my apache config so as far as the application is concerned, it does
get the SP Entity Id from Shibboleth.
