Organisations are increasingly adopting a more holistic approach to design
and are entering into collaborative partnerships to enable the development
of more sustainable solutions. By identifying the key attributes that
facilitate the integration of stakeholders from a range of different
disciplines it is believed that a framework can be developed to help
designers move towards more sustainable solutions through a holistic
approach to design.
The aim of this workshop is to capture first hand stories and experiences of
design practitioners and researchers who have undertaken holistic approaches
to design. Additionally it is thought that the workshop shall initiate
discussion between professionals from multiple disciplines surrounding the
drivers and barriers affiliated with the holistic design of more sustainable
solutions.
The one day event shall consist of several presentations from design
practitioners across multiple industries including:
Mr Hugo Spowers of The LIFECar Project:

issues that are raised throughout the day. The workshop will provide those
involved with the opportunity to gain an understanding of holistic
approaches to design from a range of different industries and design
disciplines.
The workshop is free of charge however places are limited.
