Dear All
We have been asked by our pancreatic specialist to measure lipase in
place of amylase across the Trust. We are happy to do this. The only
stumbling block is a need to retain fluid amylase to indicate the source
of fluid from a drain since our lipase method is not licensed for fluid
measurement and all the protocols for fluid analysis are for amylase
measurement.
Has anyone else changed from amylase to lipase ?
What have you done about fluid analysis?
Any other problems we need to be aware of?
Many thanks
Douglas Thompson
