At some point, I was exploring the idea of creating such a repository around
the Expressive Space topic and set up a pilot website for this purpose. It
is still there but empty. It is using WIKIDNX, which seemed to me a suitable
choice. It supports keywords, export to Bib Tex and EndNote, etc.
If it would be useful, you all are welcome to experiment with it to find out
about the functionality and limitations.
The website is here:
http://www.expressivespace.org/bibliography/
It is hosted on a commercial site because for our project this was the
easiest/fastest option. Of course, it would be better to have it hosted at a
university site but my experience is that obtaining access to current
technologies at university sites is very difficult because of all the
additional worries about security and the like.
The safest form of registration is manual, which takes quite an effort to
administer but not impossible if this is an open community effort. I have
just changed it to automatic to make experimentation easier. The potential
problem of automatic registration is spam but, hopefully, it will not be too
bad in this case.
If you decide to explore the possibilities, the user names in the form
<firstname_surname> are the best and real names seem appropriate. If you
find it useful, I can change the name to something more suitable too...
It would be also interesting to start thinking about the guidelines and,
perhaps, the additional opportunities that the web can provide with
cross-references, feedback, reviewing and so on...
