medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
There are some references to forbidden types of dancing in Burchard of
Worms' Decretum (beginning of the 11th century), the most interesting of
which deals with merry-making during wakes.

I recently ran across a reference to prohibition of dancing
(specifically,
of women dancing) in Carolingian sources. I'm wondering if any list
members
know of such prohibitions in the 11th-13th centuries?
Thanks in advance,
Meg
