Lecturer in Modern Spanish (Peninsular) Studies
The Department of Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American Studies invites
applications for the above permanent post. The post will involve research,
postgraduate supervision and the teaching of undergraduates across the
Departments various courses on modern Spain.
Candidates should have completed a PhD and preference may be given to those
who have already published. The Department will consider suitable
candidates from any area of modern Spanish (Peninsular) studies, such as
cultural studies, film, literature, history or politics, although
preference may be given to those able to teach in film and culture. It is
expected that the successful candidate will contribute to the teaching of
existing first and second year modules, but also bring their specialist
expertise to new modules in both Year 2 and Year 4.
Salary will be within the range £30,012 - £40,335 per annum, depending on
qualifications and experience (salary can progress to £46,759 per annum,
subject to performance). This post is available from 1 September 2008.
