OFFICAL FELLOWSHIP AND PRAELECTORSHIP IN SPANISH
The College invites applications for appointment to an Official Fellowship
and Praelectorship
(that is, a Tutorial Fellowship) in Spanish with effect from 1 October 2008
or as soon thereafter as
practicable. The post will be held in conjunction with the concurrently
advertised Faculty
Lecturership in Spanish. Applicants for the Fellowship will be deemed to
have applied also for the
Faculty Lecturership. The successful applicant will be required to
undertake research and to
make a major contribution to teaching Spanish to undergraduates at The
Queen’s College. The
Faculty Board has expressed a preference for expertise in Modern Peninsular
Literature, but
candidates from all areas of Spanish studies are welcome. The combined
University and College
salary will be on an appropriate point of the combined College and
University scale (Grade 10a)
which starts at £37,642 and reaches a maximum of £52,628 per annum.
