Dial "M" for Murder
The Matrix
Scream
I recently watched Frantic, and it struck me how outdated the cell phone has made films in which the plot depends on a person racing to a pay phone to make a crucial call. Of course, the opposite phenomenon when script writers make convenient use of the cell phone for exposition or to move the plot along- much like car rides operated in pre- cell phone films- is also of critical interest.
