it is not concerning the Iberian peninsula, but this historic
information may be of interest to you:
According to Stinglwagner & Haseder (2000, 154) there are sources
reveling the presence of fallow deer in Denmark since the 11th
century. In the year 1530 the Danish king granted 30 fallow deers to
the German Landgraf Wilhelm von Hessen, which are supposed to be the
basic stock of todays Middle European fallow deer population.
