Dear All,
Many thanks to all the people who replied to my query.
I've had a number of replies, but no consensus so far: gnawing marks,
digestion and etching were among the proposals. I tend to believe that
it was some acidic agent, probably postdepositional, that caused the
marks on the teeth.
I had no takers on the bird bone, though.
Many thanks again- and if anybody has any new ideas, please let me
know!
Best wishes to all,
Nellie
