Dear colleagues,
This is a reminder about the Design Cases track at the upcoming
NordiCHI 2008 conference. It is an experiment in how design knowledge
and criticism can be brought into play within the traditional
framework of an academic conference.
Specifically, we are looking for contributions that report new and
interesting interaction design work. Contributions are peer-reviewed,
and each accepted contribution appears in the proceedings (and in the
ACM Digital Library) together with 2-3 pieces of criticism written by
a panel of interaction design critics.
The conference is held on October 20-22, 2008, in Lund, Sweden. At
the conference, Design Cases sessions will consist of presentations
together with comments from the critic panel and plenary discussions.
Our ambition is to record and publish the sessions in order to
capture the knowledge created in the discussions, as a complement to
the conventional proceedings.
If you would like to be a part of this experiment, have a look at
www.nordichi2008.org for more information and instructions on how to
contribute (select Pre-conference and then Design Cases in the left
menu).
Deadline for contributions is April 14, 2008.
Please pass this notice on to people you think might be interested in
contributing. And if you have questions, do not hesitate to get back
to me.
All the best,
Jonas Löwgren
