Salary scale: EUR 35,610 - EUR 57,847 per annum. (There is provision for
subsequent progression to a higher salary scale, maximum EUR 83,504.)

Applications are invited for the above wholetime permanent post, tenable
from September 2008, from candidates specialized in ethnomusicology.
Candidates are expected to hold a PhD or equivalent doctoral qualification
(or to show evidence of having submitted their doctoral thesis for
examination by the time of application) and to be active researchers in
their field(s) of specialism in ethnomusicology. A specialism in Irish
traditional music may be an advantage. The successful applicant will
co-teach UCC's MA in Ethnomusicology and will participate fully in the rest
of the work of the Department, including teaching, supervision and examining
at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
