Dear Adrian
Having carefully read the relevant Act last year, I don't believe that
the existing UK legislation requires us to provide new certification
following a change of gender. My view is that the degree certificate
confirms the decision of an examination board and is therefore, a
historical record.
We do not amend our student records (awards pre-1995 are not kept
electronically) or provide replacement certificates in new names for
students who change their name by marriage or otherwise.
Best wishes,
Lynzie
