For the attention of all attending ACB Focus 2008 in Birmingham in May
Calling all musicians and performers!
You are invited to contribute to the Focus Fringe Event - Tuesday 20th May 2008, at theStudio, 7 Cannon Street, Birmingham B2 5EP, 21:30 - midnight (venue website: http://www.orangestudio.co.uk/ the location is just off New Street, a few yards from the ramp down from New Street Station into the main Shopping Area.
This will be a late evening opportunity to come and strut your stuff as a singer or instrumentalist, or just to watch others do their thing after you have been out for dinner and before you go back to your Hotels. Tickets will be available at the Focus Registration area.
There will be a prize for the best performance and a raffle in aid of Acorns Children's Hospice.
A live 5-piece band of experienced musicians will be there to get the evening going and provide backing for any delegate who wishes to entertain the crowd. If you are too shy to perform as an individual, you can form a group or do a duet with your best mate!
You can just turn up, but if you want to make the most of the opportunity, please complete the form on the Focus Fringe page in the Special section of the Birmingham Quality (UK NEQAS) website (http://www.birminghamquality.org.uk/63.html). This will enable me to organise the most effective backing and support.
Any questions or issues too lengthy to put in the form, please reply to my personal email address, not the list, or just phone me.
Thanks
Jonathan
PS if there are any companies, organisations or individuals who would like to sponsor this event and ensure we cover costs and make a substantial contribution to Acorns, please get in touch. Thanks a lot.
