Thanks for your patience with these emails.
We had our meeting. It was very successful and we had a good attendance,
about 2/3 of the people who hoped to come managed to make it. Probably
just as well for our first meeting. I we had about 15 people attending
(hard to count), midwives, midwifery researchers, educators and other
academics.
Kiwi educators have offered us their space for continuing meetings.
The suggestion was made to have the next meeting in NZ morning, UK
night, to be a more suitable time for those in North America (one
participant came from the US at 3am for her).
Have not finalized next meeting but will be this coming weekend.
Please check my blog for details [log in to unmask]" target="_blank">http:[log in to unmask] or
Sarah's blog http://sarah-stewart.blogspot.com .
Minutes and transcript of our meeting will be ready tomorrow or
Wednesday and I will post link in my blog.
Let me know if there is anything particular anyone would like covered in
the next meeting. Perhaps we should break into smaller groups to chat
and come back to the main group with feedback? Have a think and let me
know. We might explore a little with care not to lose anyone.
Please contact me by email off list for more information, with
suggestions or topics for discussion. Anyone can join this group at any
time, just get in touch.
Many thanks
