POSTGRADUATE OPPORTUNITIES FOR 2008 AT MANCHESTER UNIVERSITY
Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American Studies at the University of
Manchester is offering a full-time Graduate Teaching Fellowship post in
Spanish, available from September 2008. This post is open to home/EU or
overseas students and entails registering full-time for a PhD in a Spanish
or Latin American topic and teaching six hours of Spanish language classes
per week.
There is also a full-time Graduate Teaching Fellowship in Film Studies,
which is open to any of our language areas, including Spanish, Portuguese
and Latin American.

There are also two PhD bursaries awarded by RICC (Research Institute for
Cosmopolitan Cultures) to fund PhDs that fit the thematic area
of "Genealogies of Cosmopolitanism: Commonality, Difference, Exile". These
PhD projects can relate to any of our language areas, including Spanish,
Portuguese and Latin American and can also be interdisciplinary across
languages.
