For those on the mailbase with either a genuine or enforced interest in Microbiology I am hoping for some help! We are, like most I suspect, gearing up for wide scale MRSA screening. I would be interested to know:
1. What size is your screeing population - and is that elective, non-elective etc
2. What methodology are you using or intending to use
3. Are you screening 24/7
4. How many staff are involved in the lab end of screening
5. What grade are those staff
6. Is the screening operated within a 'clean' Microbiology area or as part of a main automated lab
