Visiting Scholar
King’s College London, with the support of the Instituto Camões, is pleased
to announce the short-term position of Visiting Scholar in the Department
of Portuguese and Brazilian Studies for the period 13 October to 12
December 2008. There is a subvention of €9,000 to cover travel,
accommodation and local expenses. We are looking for a scholar of
international reputation with wide interests in Portuguese language and
literature. The scholar will be expected to participate in the activities
of the Department and to organize a weekly workshop on Fernando Pessoa from
a Comparative Perspective, open to undergraduate and postgraduate students
of the School of Humanities. The workshop will be coordinated with the
Symposium on Fernando Pessoa: Influences, Dialogues, Responses, planned for
