I would like to draw your attention to the following advertisement for
the Dean of the School of Arts and Education at Middlesex University,
UK.
http://www.timeshighereducation.co.uk/jobs_jobdetails.asp?ac=52376
Based in North London, Middlesex recruits widely across the world and
works in partnership to deliver outstanding higher education in many
countries. This is a significant senior management position with
responsibility for 6000 students in UK and overseas, and over 400 staff.
Research in the School encompasses electronic arts; fine art; the
history and theory of visual culture; product and architectural
design; textiles; fashion and the decorative arts; visual
communication and design; performing arts, including dance, music, and
theatre studies; philosophy and religious studies, modern language
studies, English literary and language studies, communication, culture
and media studies; politics and international studies, teacher
training and technology education.
The School entered 6 units of assessment in the current Research
Assessment Exercise. There is a healthy and growing intellectual
atmosphere, with two research units graded 5 in RAE2001, and about 140
research students.
This is an exciting time for the School, with a planned relocation
from its Cat Hill and Trent Park campuses to the main university site
at Hendon, and a new design building as part of a £300m campus
development. http://www.mdx.ac.uk/aboutus/future/hendon/index.asp
Please note that the closing date for applications is 4 February 2008.
Please approach Perrett Laver for further details.
Regards,
David
