Hi Gunnar
oh dear thats what I hate about this list - but oh well....... if you live by the sword/die by the sword and all that....
I really didn't mean to imply that your translations were poor (your assumption?). Just that they made the question different.
I wanted to point out the possibility that Teena's question was intentionally open ended and so had more potential to appeal to the imagination perhaps? When it got reworded, I felt that the question was spoilt. It lost its magic for me.
My comment was intended as an observation about the nature of questions, not a criticism of you, so no need to apologise.
Incidentally- speaking personally- I'm only smart enough and I'm vegetarian. :)

Fiona,
> I answer yes to all of 3 your questions
I'm sorry that my rewordings of Teena's question were so poor. I meant them as open-ended conversation starters not as a true/false quiz or a piece of conversation stopping rhetoric. Please add "how?" or "please give examples and discuss" to my questions.
So yes--my poor wording (and/or your assumptions) may be gendered traps. Or perhaps some other sort of trap. I wonder whether we are smart enough to get out of the trap without resorting to chewing off our own leg (or more than one of them.)
