Clairvaux as Jerusalem and the connection of the monastery (esp. C.) to the
heavenly Jerusalem:
> Mette B. Brunn, _Parables: Bernard of Clairvaux's Mapping of Spiritual
Topography_ Brill's Studies in Intellectual History, vol 148. Leiden/
Boston: Brill, 2007.
looks good.
I.U. doesn't believe in actual books anymore, so we don't have it.
oh, you've misspelled the author's name, G.Z.
it's *Bruun*
an easy mistake to make, i suppose.
i'll take a look, soon as i've mailed this.

topography to elucidate Bernard's thought and its "material" reality.
"topography," as in the matrix of a Sacred (Holy Land) Topography which can be
superimposed on any given European typography?
e.g., the abbey of St. Mary of Josaphat, about a mile down the Eure valley
from Chartres, founded by Ivo's sucessor as bishop of Chartres, apparently as
a "topographical replication" (or whatever) of the abbey of St. Mary of
Jehosaphat, below Jerusalem.
