medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
I add to John's list the picture I took at the cloister of San Lorenzo fuori le Mura
in 2007 and used for my Christmas card:
share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=0AbMWzdi2ZuWLlA
The script that doesn't show up completely on the bottom of the Shutterfly image reads: San Lorenzo f.l.M., Roma. Fortunately all words were completely visible on the card (done by VistaPrint.com if anyone's interested). VistaPrint and Shutterfly both
offer handsome versions of one's photos on all sorts of products. I own stock in neither
company :-))
I don't remember if this sarcophagus was a child's, but the scene seems popular on
sarcophagi for children.
