we must be looking at different articles.
the one i have quotes *extensively* (in Latin and some in translation) from
primary sources, mostly biblical and liturgical (using Martene's _De Antiquis
Ecclesiae Ritibus_), but also Suger and that 13th c. guy, Durandus.
yes, he does "rely" on Sedlmayr, von Simpson and Panofsky somewhat for
interpretation, but his remarks seem to be well-founded on the Sources, far as
i can see.
