May be worth mentioning that NAG courses are routinely offered in many other
parts of the country in recognition of the fact that some people do not wish
to or cannot travel to London. It's not only the cost, but also the time
consideration for an overnight stay or pre-dawn start/midnight return.

Subject: London-Centric Cilip
Just looking at CILIP's Training and Development advert in the Gazette; 7
training courses all in London. I'm sure the courses feature on this board
will also be similarly London based.
I've been a chartered librarian for over 15 years and I've been to
Ridgmount Street once!
Training opportunities in other parts of the country would be most welcome
as training in London means an overnight stay or accepting astronomical
train fares.
Surely CILIP could duplicate all the courses held in London elsewhere in
the country so giving professionals living outside London a chance to
attend.
Just a thought
