Grieg I think we may need to clarify lancaster woes, I think we should
clarify that for lancaster the upgrade was smooth ( but alot of our
bugs have now been fixed and our in the current releae) but we did
have it working in 1.8 ( initailly we also had problems with
overflowing databases getting corrupted. but we DID have a working
dcache 1,8, then we tried to implement space tokens and things turned
into a whole pile of messness. ( most likely caused by use having a
split head node? matt cab you clarify on this?) SO.... you can upgrade
to 1.8 in some circumstances without any problems ( but lancaster
didn't)
