Hi all,
I had an interesting query this morning from a GP about performing a GTT
in a woman breast feeding at the moment.
Does anyone know if this is contraindicated or if there are any caveats
to be aware of in interpreting results?
From the patient's point of view, she hadn't actually had a glucose
level done since she was pregnant back in May 07, so there was no
indication for a GTT in the first instance, but it is something I have
to admit that I haven't actually come across before.
Thanks in anticipation
