Thanks - unfortunately I do not have access to those. However, Chrysogonus
Waddell seems to have devoted his life to a detailed study of the early
Cistercian documents, and has had the misfortune to publish more or less
simultaneously with Berman! (Someone is said have remarked that a voice like
Sinatra's came along once in a lifetime, to which Bing Crosby is supposed to
have replied, "Why did it have to be my lifetime?") Is there a review by
someone with a comparable detailed knowledge, but more disinterested?
