Dear listmembers,
Adrian is quite right to point out that it is a list recommendation that,
when replying, posters delete all but the relevant text to which they refer.
In addition, please remember that the list is not actively moderated -
meaning that posts are not vetted before they hit the list. This means that
when you click 'send' to are committed to the message going public.
The editorial team read every post and, in more than ten years of activity,
have barely needed to raise an issue with regard to netiquette beyond
matters of email systems and reply protocols. It was good to see a really
vibrant intellectual discussion emerge from the Heath Ledger debate, which
raised new issues and returned to some older ones. Let's continue to keep
film-philosophy one of the best cinema lists on the web.
