It would seem to me that the thing to do is use out major asset. Out
patients are the governments voters and therefore can threaten the
government. At the EMIS National User group, we discovered the power
of writing to MPs in the quest for the GPSoC arrangements for practice
IT systems. If there were a suitably worded letter available which we
could encourage patients to send to their MPs then that would create a
major upset. If only 5% of those who wrote considered their voting
intentions thereafter, that could topple the government & it knows it.
It may not be strictly professional, but these are difficult times and
it would certainly be effective.
