medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
I am perfectly (shamefully!) ignorant of how relevant it may be to
this particular discussion, as my own research field is quite far from
any history of art, but for the Romanesque side of it I found Xavier
Barral i Altet's _Contre l'art roman ? Essai sur un passé réinventé_
(Paris, 2006) extremely suggestive. Here goes a passage of the book's
I was wondering if you could point out to me relevant reviews on this
book by people with a better informed opinion than my outsider's one
or if you might express your own views if you're familiar with Barral
i Altet's work. And sorry for taking the discussion some years
backwards from the "opus francigenum".
Best season's greetings to all,
Jesús
