This site is maintained by the Commonwealth Secretariat. it provides free access to Commonwealth resources about Pakistan. These include background political, social and economic facts and maps from the latest version of the Commonwealth Yearbook. Also accessible are the most recent press releases and statements about Pakistan made by bodies of the Commonwealth. These include Commonwealth Ministerial Action Group and Commonwealth Secretary General materials. Users should note that older documents and statements are also accessible from the site. However, they need to be located by using the search facility. Topics covered include the military rule of General Musharraf; human rights, democracy and elections.

The Worldwide Universities Network (WUN) is a partnership research universities from Europe, North America, South East Asia and Australia (including the University of York; University of bristol; University of Southampton; Beijing University) which seeks to promote collaboration in research and the use of information technology and elearning. This section of its website provides free access to a collection of virtual seminars. These cover a wide range of areas relating to the sciences, social sciences and humanities. It is possible to view some webcasts and films of lectures free of charge. Topics currently available include South Asian studies; the future of the university; film studies and new horizons in Geography. Dates of lectures, technical and copyright information is displayed on the website.

A French language electronic journal launched by the Le Centre d'histoire de Sciences Po in 2007. It is issued 3 times per annum, with regular updates of editorial columns online. Each issue contains thematic articles, reviews, interviews with leading French political scientists and researchers, plus discussion of issues relating to the intersection between politics and contemporary history. Coverage is broad including extensive materials on European political history in the post 1945 period; French political history and the online teaching of politics and history.

These include materials from election observation missions and comments on the state of democracy and human rights in individual nations. The Soapbox Project is managed by Dr Sally Young of the University of Melbourne. It aims to provide free access to an online archive of materials relating to elections in Australia from 1900 to the present day. Materials are being added on a gradual basis and at present tend to relate to recent years only. They include images of political posters and leaflets, the text of election manifestos and policy documents, multimedia files of speeches, debates and political advertisements. Coverage is currently stronger for the Australian Liberal and labor parties. Copyright and technical information is displayed on the website.

Friction TV is a user generated online video and film channel similar in concept to YouTube. News content includes Channel 5 news. All types of political viewpoints are shared. The emphasis is upon current British politics. Copyright and technical information is displayed on the website.

This site is maintained by the digital library of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. It provides free access to over 70 online images of political cartoons from its collections. These relate to Irish political history and consist of materials taken from the Weekly Freeman and National Press and United Ireland newspapers. Key topics covered include Irish politics, home rule for Ireland and relations between Britain and Ireland. It is possible to search or browse the database. Bibliographic and copyright information is displayed on the website.

The Web Site "The Online Books Page" is published by the University of Pennsylvania. The site is regularly updated and lists over 20, 000 titles. These can be searched by author or title, and the works are available in a variety of formats. A separate page provides information and downloads for reader programmes required such as MS Reader, Gzip, PDF, and Word. There is a new listings section, helpful for those who regularly visit the site, and titles can be called up using the Library of Congress call number category. An excellent site for all aspects of the humanities.
