medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
The Ordinary Gloss to the Bible, at least in the version reprinted by
Brepols, makes on such connection. The passage in Luke about Lazarus'
sores (ulceribus plenus) makes not mention of his being a leper. Nor
does it connect him to Lazarus of Bethany. Nor does the gloss to the
passage in John about raising Lazarus make a connection to leprosy.
