Chair of Statistics and Lectureship in Statistics
UCL invites applications for a Chair of Statistics and a Lectureship
available in the Department of Statistical Science. Applicants should
have research strengths in any branch of Probability and Statistics and an
aptitude for teaching. Applicants for the Chair will be expected to have
an outstanding research record of international excellence in one or more
areas of Probability or Statistics. The successful applicants will be
expected to carry out original research and to contribute to undergraduate
and postgraduate teaching in Statistical Science.
It is expected that the successful candidates would be able to take up
their posts by 1 May 2008, although there is some flexibility on this
point. For suitably qualified candidates for the lectureship, an
appointment can be made within the salary scale range from £30,012 -
£40,335, per annum, plus London Weighting of £2,572, per annum. For the
Chair, salary is negotiable on the professorial scale.
