Dear all,
The University of Auckland, Biostatistics unit at CTRU, and University of
Otago are coordinating a two-day workshop (21-22 February 2008) at the
Department of Statistics, University of Auckland on longitudinal data
analysis. The workshop will have 2 keynote speakers: Garrett Fitzmaurice
(Harvard University) and Patrick Heagerty (University of Washington).
The main aim of this workshop is to familiarise the participants with the
current best statistical practice in the analysis of longitudinal data,
providing an in-depth understanding of the statistical methods as well as
practical experience in using current software to carry out the analyses.
The workshop will place heavy emphasis on applications of longitudinal
methods with numerous examples drawn from clinical trials and observational
studies in the medical/public health sciences. It will also illustrate the
implementation of modern methods for longitudinal data analysis using
widely-available software (e.g., SAS, Stata, R).
