The Health and Social Care Modelling Group (HSCMG), based in the School of
Informatics, is looking for a research fellow to provide support to
research, consultancy and knowledge transfer activities undertaken by the
Health and Social Care Modelling Group (HSCMG) and occasionally to support
other OR related activities of the department.

The post holder will be an active researcher with interest and experience in
areas of operational research and/or data mining that are relevant to health
care and of interest to HSCMG, in particular in using soft and hard OR
modelling methods in primary care context (home care in particular). S/he
will also be involved in the development of short courses and teaching in
the area of Health OR and Informatics. As a junior post-doctoral researcher,
s/he will be expected to have some publication record and strong potential.
Some experience in writing research proposals will also be highly desirable.

A good honours degree and a higher degree in Operational Research,
Industrial Engineering, Statistics and/or other relevant areas of
Mathematical Sciences and Informatics are required. Candidates are expected
to hold a PhD or have just submitted their dissertation. Those without a PhD
must have significant research experience in a relevant area.For an informal
