we are now facing a design/ innovation backlash. This was brought up by
the CEO of Teague recently on an IDSA web conference.
Whilst designers 'talk' about recycling, the truth is otherwise...

there needs to be design for repairability, longevity, timelessness and so
on. Not just the Green activities - re-cycled 'filler' plastic or crude
looking park benches made out of recycled junk.
why can't fledgeling designers think about designing for 5 -10 years as a
design project - with easily replaceable parts? Stuff that looks good for
the long term - like Frank Lloyd Wright, etc.
