Hi
In cases where anonymous marking is required, we do very much the same
as Denize - we ask students to register as Forename: Student and
Surname: registration number.
This works where students are one isolated cohort, say following a
Masters programme. What we are going to struggle with is when students
are already registered to use Turnitin with their actual name, and then
have to become Student 12345678 for another course by changing their
user info. I can just imagine the confusion that this will cause!

Hi there
I couldn't vouch that all our academic staff ARE doing this (!) but I
always recommend that they use the students' registration number - which
is the way that our anonymous marking is also intended to work. It will
allow an originality report to be assigned back to the student if need
be, but works in the right sprit, I think.

Subject: TurnitinUK and anonymous submissions
Hello,
I was hoping to find out how those who use TurnitinUK and are required
to do anonymous marking of work are doing it.
I am aware that various institutions are increasingly required to do
anonymous marking of work but as TurnitinUK associates each submission a
student makes with their name its seems extremely difficult.
I would appreciate your views, feedback and experiences with this.
Regards,
Janice
