Battle of Hastings) was Robert Fleming's biography of Harold II [Harold
Godwineson] (1022/3?-1066), king of England.
It includes reference's to Harold's uncanonical marriage, patronage of
Peterborough, Ely and (especially, including refoundation of) Waltham Cross
Abbeys, relationship with Robert of Jumieges, archbishop of Canterbury and
other bishops, collection of relics, image in abbey chronicles, devotion to
the cult of the cross, pilgrimage to Rome, perjury, coronation at
Westminster and legends of his survival.
