Re: Green Wash.
Dear Colleague,
London Wildlife Trust (LWT) and the Black Londoners Forum (BLF) would
like to invite you to an introductory meeting to discuss a new
initiative - Green Wash. The event is being held on Tuesday 27th
November 2007 at Camley Street Natural Park, 12 Camley Street, London,
NW1 OPW. The event will start at 12.30pm and will finish at 5pm. Lunch
and refreshments will be provided.
Green Wash was developed collectively by London Wildlife Trust; a
charity that works to protect London's wildlife for the future along
with the Black Londoners Forum, a locally based organisation which seeks
to advance the economic, political, cultural and social well-being of
Black and Ethnic Minority Londoners.
A great concern was expressed around the lack of engagement with BME
elders on the issue of environmental justice in general and more
specifically on climate change given the significance of Global warming
and its impact on all communities.
At this event delegates will have the opportunity to identify key
challenges and barriers to participation and access to green spaces, as
well as good practice solutions to gaps in existing professional
approaches to audience engagement on environmental issues.
The enclosed flyer and booking form provides details of the event and
registration.
Many thanks for your anticipated assistance in helping to take this
initiative forward. We do hope that you will join us for what will be
an extremely interesting day and look forward to seeing you there.
Please book by 23rd November 2007.
Yours Faithfully,
Mohamed Kebbay
